SDPK officially declared itself an opposition. Official representative of the party Kunduz Zholdubaeva told 24-kg.com news agency.
According to her, this statement has consequences for the faction in parliament, but there are no consequences for the political organization itself.
Kunduz Zholdubaeva added that such a statement allowed criticizing the authorities and proposing alternative ways of the country’s development.
Earlier, leader of SDPK parliamentary faction, Isa Omurkulov, stated that he would convey a party congress on April 3.
The Social Democrats’ Political Council called this decision illegal and said that SDPK Congress would be held on April 6.
