Leader of Ata Meken party, Omurbek Tekebaev, was attacked by unknown people in Bishkek. Member of the political organization Isken Afidzhanov told 24-kg.com news agency.

«Omurbek Tekebaev was attacked by masked men in the area of Consul restaurant,» he posted on social media.

He explained to 24-kg.com news agency that the politician was surrounded today by a crowd of about 70-80 people near Park Hotel.

«Omurbek Tekebaev’s glasses were broken, his phone was taken away,» Isken Afidzhanov said.

The Interior Ministry has not yet commented on the incident.
