Echo of Moscow radio was shut down in Russia. The decision was made by the Board of Directors.
It is clarified that not only the radio broadcast is turned off, but the media website will also stop working. Earlier, Roskomnadzor, at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, blocked Echo of Moscow, including its pages on social networks, due to journalists’ materials about Russia’s military operations in Ukraine.
Today is the eighth day of fighting in Ukraine. On February 24, 2022, the Russian President Vladimir Putin announced start of a special military operation. It was regarded in Ukraine and in the West as a full-scale invasion.
Second round of Russian-Ukrainian talks is expected today. The main topic is a ceasefire.
