Russia bars entry to Biden and Canada's PM Trudeau

Moscow responded to Washington’s sanctions by banning the U.S. President Joe Biden and 12 other U.S. officials from entering Russia. TASS reported, citing the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry.

«In response to a series of unprecedented sanctions prohibiting, among other things, the entry into the United States for top officials of the Russian Federation, the Russian «stop list» since March 15 includes on the basis of reciprocity the President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley as well as a number of department heads and well-known American figures,» the statement says.

In addition, Russia, in response to Canadian sanctions, blacklisted 313 Canadian citizens, including the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Foreign and Defense Ministers Melanie Joly and Anita Anand.
