History Museum in Bishkek has new exhibit - golden komuz

A new exhibit has appeared in the National History Museum — the Kyrgyz musical instrument komuz.

Komuz was made by a businessman Marat Berikbaev, a jeweler Ali Mamarasulov covered the instrument with gold. They decided to donate it to the museum. The cost of the new exhibit was estimated at 700,000 soms.

According to friends of Marat Berikbaev, he made five unique komuzes, one of them was also donated to the Sulaiman-Too archaeological museum complex, the others were awarded to the winners of competitions as prizes.
