Sadyr Japarov sent a telegram of condolences to the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi in connection with the death of people as a result of a bridge collapse in the state of Gujarat. Press service of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
«I am deeply saddened by the news of human casualties as a result of collapse of the footbridge in Morbi, Gujarat, India. On behalf of the Kyrgyz people and on my own behalf, I offer my deepest condolences to the families and friends of those who died as a result of the tragic accident. I wish a speedy recovery to the injured citizens,» the head of state said in the telegram.
The tragedy occurred on Sunday evening in the city of Morbi. NDTV reported about 141 dead and 177 rescued. According to the minister, a criminal case has been opened on the fact.
