The world leader in architecture, the Japanese company Nikken Sekkei, will assist in the development of the concept of a new General Plan for Bishkek. The head of Bishkekglavarkhitectura state institution Urmat Karybaev announced on Facebook.
He noted that he met with Nikken Sekkei President Atsushi Omatsu and its CEO Fadi Jabri in Dubai.
According to the chief architect of the capital, Nikken Sekkei is a world leader in architecture, urban and master planning with a rich heritage that stretches over the centuries. The company is justifiably proud of over 20,000 successful projects in 40 countries including Japan, UAE, China, Russia and the United States.
«During the meeting, we discussed the importance of developing a General Plan for our city that would meet the modern challenges and needs of our residents. It is pleasant to note that Mr. Atsushi Omatsu expressed his readiness to assist in the development of the concept of the new General Plan. I also would like to note that it is planned to involve the company as a master planning consultant on important projects in Bishkek,» he said.
Urmat Karybaev added that joint work with Nikken Sekkei will allow recreating an urban environment that will improve the quality of life of all residents and meet international standards.
