Bishkek hosts forum with participation of global marketplaces

Bishkek is hosting the international forum E-COMKG 2023 — an exhibition of commodity business on the largest marketplaces in the world.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov delivered a welcoming speech.

«I am glad to welcome you and speak to you. Today we have gathered to exchange views on the development of e-commerce. I hope that the meeting will contribute to mutually beneficial cooperation. Development of e-commerce in Kyrgyzstan has a huge potential for business growth and creation of new jobs. We invite investors and entrepreneurs from all countries to build the future. I am ready to support all your initiatives and I am always open to discussion, together we can create a favorable environment for the development of e-commerce,» he stressed.

The official also told about the role of artificial intelligence in the world and e-commerce. «For example, a popular marketplace tells me that it’s time to buy socks. Then I notice that my current ones are already really worn out,» he shared his experience.

The forum is attended by the founders and representatives of large-scale marketplaces — Wildberries, Ozon, Amazon, AliExpress, Ebay and others.
