Schoolboy from Kyrgyzstan wins silver at Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad

An eighth-grader from Gazprom Kyrgyzstan school, Jan Bobrus, won a silver medal at the XVIII Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO).

Teacher Mederbek Osmonov prepared Jan Bobrus for the Olympiad.

At least 286 schoolchildren from 35 countries in the Asia-Pacific region participated in the Olympiad, which was held by the People’s Republic of China on May 18-20, 2024.

The team of seven schoolchildren from Kyrgyzstan participated in the Olympiad online under video surveillance.
