Flag hoisted on new flagpole on central square of Bishkek

A ceremony of raising the national flag on a new flagpole took place on the central square of Bishkek today, August 31. 24-kg.com news agency correspondent reported.

The command to start the event was given by the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, who congratulated citizens on Independence Day and delivered a solemn speech.

Recall, reconstruction of the square began in April and the key element of the renovation was the new flagpole. It was manufactured at a plant in Turkey, and special equipment was required for its delivery to Kyrgyzstan. The flagpole is made of high-strength galvanized steel with a polymer coating. The contractor for the installation was Etalon Vin Spets Story company.
