At least 146.07 hectares of pasture land have been transformed for construction of residential buildings in Chon-Alai district of Osh region.
The corresponding document signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, was published in Erkin-Too newspaper.
The head of Chon-Alai district, Mirbek Shamyrkanov, told 24-kg.com news agency that it is not the authorities who will build houses on the transformed land, but the local residents themselves. These plots are located in Chon-Alai aiyl aimak.
«The last transformation was carried out here in 2011, when citizens were allocated plots for housing construction. At the moment, 890 people are already on the waiting list for land. The transformed lands will be distributed to these citizens. Previously, these plots were used for agricultural purposes. The general plan has already been developed, each citizen will receive 10 ares and will be able to build a house,» the head of the district said.
According to him, at the moment there are 11 villages in this district, in which there are 4,153 households, 17,466 citizens live in them.
Mirbek Shamyrkanov added that land plots will begin to be distributed in May 2025, before that it is necessary to complete the procedures stipulated by law.
At least 150 hectares were transformed in Batken region in January. These lands were also intended for housing construction.
