Inspector of Accounts Chamber detained while taking 200,000 soms

Security services detained a current state inspector of the Accounts Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic while receiving a bribe. The press center of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) reported.

«It was established that A.E.A. was conducting an audit of the expenditure of funds allocated from the republican budget to educational entities (secondary schools) in Issyk-Ata district of Chui region. At the same time, in order to obtain material benefits, the inspector extorted 200,000 soms from education workers for concealing the detected deficiencies and issuing a positive audit opinion,» the statement says. On April 11, security officers detained the state inspector of the Accounts Chamber while receiving 200,000 soms. By the decision of the Oktyabrsky District Court, he was placed in a pretrial detention center until June 10. The investigation is ongoing.
