Police install cameras in schools and kindergartens in Issyk-Kul region

Installation of surveillance cameras in schools, kindergartens and public places of Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan has begun. The press service of the local Internal Affairs Department reported.

«An initiative to ensure public safety by expanding the video surveillance system is being actively implemented in Issyk-Kul region on the instructions of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Lieutenant General of Police Ulan Niyazbekov. The main goal of the project is to ensure public order, create a safe environment for children and young people, as well as prevent offenses and crimes,» the statement says.

Thus, the installed modern cameras have high-quality recording and have a 360-degree rotation, with a 28x zoom and a face recognition function. All data is sent in real time to the command centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Internal Affairs Department of Issyk-Kul region. The main stages of installing cameras by district:

— 51 cameras have already been installed in Tyup district, 25 of which are located in public places, and the rest — in educational institutions and kindergartens;

— 98 CCTV cameras are already operating in Issyk-Kul district, and 60 more are planned to be installed in the coming months;

— More than 30 cameras are operating in Dzheti-Oguz district, covering educational institutions and public areas, and the network is also planned to be expanded;

— 15 cameras have been installed in schools and kindergartens in Karakol, and there are also cameras in one of the local universities, the installation of which was paid for by a sponsor.

The Department of Internal Affairs of Issyk-Kul region added that these measures are aimed at increasing the level of security and creating conditions for the safe and comfortable life of citizens.
