World Economic Forum President Klaus Schwab has announced his resignation. His statement published on the WEF website says.
Klaus Schwab’s resignation must first be approved by the Swiss government.
«Following my recent announcement, and as I enter my 88th year, I have decided to step down from the position of Chair and as a member of the Board of Trustees, with immediate effect,» the head of the forum explained his decision.
Peter Brabeck-Letmathe has been appointed interim Chairman of the forum.
