Suspect of synthetic drug distribution detained

On April 18, the Drug Control Service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek received information about unknown individuals allegedly distributing large quantities of synthetic drugs in Oktyabrsky district of Bishkek. The Investigation Service of the Internal Affairs Department of Oktyabrsky district opened a criminal case under Article 282 of the Criminal Code.

During the subsequent investigative operations, a suspect U.D., 20, was detained and taken into custody.

At the suspect’s place of residence, law enforcers discovered chemical substances and equipment used for the production of synthetic drugs, including liquid precursors (weighing a total of 884 grams), scales, containers, respirators, and approximately 100 grams of synthetic drug known as Alpha-PVP.

«According to the suspect’s statement, he produced synthetic drugs at home, setting up a laboratory. He reportedly followed a provided formula for the evaporation process. After manufacturing the drugs, he hid them in secret stash locations and sent the coordinates to his supervisor via the Telegram messaging app in exchange for payment. The confiscated drugs have been sent to the forensic service under the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic. The investigation is ongoing,» the statement says.
