At the hippodrome in Baktuu‑Dolonotu village, Issyk‑Kul region, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Halk Maslahaty (People’s Council) Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov were shown two traditional equestrian games—zhorgo salysh and kok boru. The press service of the President reported.
Upon arrival at the hippodrome, the distinguished guests were welcomed by akyns-improvisers (poet‑singers). The delegation then toured Kyrgyz Aiyly ethnocomplex, which showcases elements of traditional Kyrgyz life: yurts, folk crafts, national cuisine, and costumes.
Then zhorgo salysh and kok boru competitions took place. Guests also watched demonstrations of falconry and hunting with Taigan hounds as part of the traditional Salbuurun hunting art.
At the conclusion of the cultural program, President Sadyr Japarov accompanied the honored guest to Issyk‑Kul International Airport.
