During the visit, the Ombudsman’s representatives met with Tilekmat Kudaibergen uulu (Kurenov), accused under the Article «Public calls for the violent seizure of power» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
«Tilekmat Kudaibergen uulu is being held in a cell with two men. He did not complain about violations of his rights in the pretrial detention facility of the SCNS. The Ombudsman’s Institute, within the framework of its mandate, continues to monitor places of forced detention for compliance with laws and the rights of arrested persons,» the statement says.
Recall, Tilekmat Kurenov was brought from the UAE to Bishkek on April 19.
