At least 124 criminal cases have been opened on domestic violence in Kyrgyzstan for three months. The information is posted on the open data portal.
According to the materials, the largest number of cases were opened in Chui region — 42, followed by Jalal-Abad region (20), Bishkek (17), Osh region (16), Issyk-Kul (10), Batken region and Naryn region (6 each), Osh city (5). Only two cases on domestic violence were opened in Talas region.
The investigation was conducted under the following articles of the Criminal Code: murder (9), causing serious bodily harm (7), causing less serious bodily harm (5), torture (7), rape (4), violent acts of sexual nature (4), domestic violence (14).
