Two of the four detainees in the case on recruitment of mercenaries into the Russian army have been released under house arrest. The press service of the Pervomaisky District Court informed 24-kg.com news agency.
It was reported earlier that the security services detained an employee of Russian House in Osh Natalia Sekerina, and three other people. Among them is an employee of the press service of the Osh City Hall Sergei Lapushkin. They are charged under the article «Recruitment, financing, material support, training of mercenaries for the purpose of use in armed conflicts of other states or violent actions aimed at overthrowing state power or violating territorial integrity, as well as the use of mercenaries in military conflicts or actions» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. All four were placed in pretrial detention.
«On April 25, the petition of the investigator of the Main Investigation Department of the State Committee for National Security to change the measure of restraint to house arrest for the accused S.N.V. and S.V.T. was granted. The Pervomaisky District Court released them under house arrest,» the court noted.
Recall, on April 25, the Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kyrgyz Republic Sergei Vakunov. It was reported that they discussed the detention of a number of freelance employees of Rossotrudnichestvo — citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic and «taking into account the nature of the alleged offenses, a decision was made to change their measure of restraint to house arrest.»
According to information distributed in the media, another detainee is Viktor Vasiliev, who is called a «political scientist» and «Africanist.» The name of the fourth defendant in the case has not yet been announced.
