Sadyr Japarov meets with President of Qatar Olympic Committee

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov received the President of theQatar Olympic Committee Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani. The press service of the head of state reported.

The President noted that Qatar has accumulated extensive experience in organizing major sporting events and has achieved significant success in developing sports infrastructure and building modern facilities.

Sadyr Japarov proposed considering the possibility of attracting Qatari experience and investment for the construction of modern sports facilities in Kyrgyzstan, such as an Olympic swimming pool, a boxing academy and a new building for the National Olympic Committee.

«President of the Qatar Olympic Committee Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani expressed interest in developing cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic and noted their readiness to consider proposals received aimed at strengthening sports ties between the two countries,» the press service noted.

As part of further expansion of the partnership, the Qatari side also proposed to implement in the republic a project on development of swimming in secondary schools.
