A traffic accident involving two citizens of Kyrgyzstan took place in Russia, in the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur in Khabarovsk Krai, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
According to its data, M.A., 21, and I.K., 21, were hit by a car on an unregulated pedestrian crossing at about 9 p.m. on April 25.
The chancery of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Vladivostok and the Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic are in constant contact with law enforcement agencies of the Khabarovsk Krai and are clarifying all the circumstances of this incident.
An appeal has been sent to the Russian side with a request to conduct an objective investigation into the incident and provide the necessary medical assistance to the victims. Relatives of the victims are receiving consular and legal advice.
