Man detained in Bishkek with over 6 kilograms of Afghan hashish

A 27-year-old man was detained in Bishkek. The press service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek reported.

Law enforcement officers received information that unknown individuals were selling drugs in Oktyabrsky district of the capital. A case was opened under the article «Illegal production of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogues for the purpose of sale» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. According to the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek, the suspect was identified and detained.

He turned out to be 27-year-old A.I., from whom 160 packages of drugs were seized. The total weight reached 6.776 kilograms. The seized substance is Afghan hashish, the cost of which is 18,960 million soms. The detainee was placed in the pretrial detention center No. 1. The investigation is ongoing.
