The use of national currencies in trade relations between Russia and Kyrgyzstan has reached 92 percent. The Chairman of the State Duma, the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Vyacheslav Volodin said at a meeting with the Speaker of the Zhogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu.
«Last year alone, the growth in trade turnover reached 13.5 percent, the volume was about $4.1 billion. Moreover, when we talk about relations with the Kyrgyz Republic, we emphasize that our trade relations are based mainly on the use of national currencies. The volume has reached about 92 percent,» he said.
According to Vyacheslav Volodin, «this is a high figure.»
«This indicates that much is being done at the executive level. And when it comes to the legislative parliamentary dimension, it is important for us to use the opportunities that are within our powers so that the agreements within the intergovernmental commission are implemented as effectively as possible,» he noted.
A visiting session of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Council will take place today, May 19, in Bishkek.
