President of Kyrgyzstan meets with Chairman of Russia’s State Duma

On May 19, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov met with Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan on an official visit.

The two sides discussed key areas of Kyrgyzstan-Russia cooperation, inter-parliamentary relations, and issues related to bilateral trade, economic, and humanitarian cooperation.

President Japarov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan highly values its relationship with Russia and is committed to further deepening it in the spirit of friendship, alliance, and mutual respect. He noted that this year holds special significance for bilateral relations, as it marks the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Eternal Friendship, Alliance, and Partnership between the two countries.

The President pointed out that Kyrgyzstan-Russia strategic partnership is developing steadily and dynamically. He expressed readiness to further expand full-scale cooperation in all areas and underlined the importance of inter-parliamentary dialogue as an integral part of bilateral dialogue.

In turn, State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin noted the high level of political dialogue between Kyrgyzstan and Russia and emphasized that the relationship between the countries is built on mutual respect and consideration of national interests.

Vyacheslav Volodin emphasized that consistent and systematic work is being carried out to ensure the sustainable and systemic nature of the inter-parliamentary dialogue between the two countries. In this regard, he noted the importance of regular dialogue between the legislative bodies of the two countries as an integral part of the strategic partnership, as well as readiness to further deepen constructive inter-parliamentary cooperation.
