A CEO has been appointed at the National Investment Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Board of Directors has appointed Uran Temirbekov to the post.
He previously held the position of head of the Social Partnership Fund for Regional Development.
It was reported in June 2024 that the presidential decree instructed to create the National Investment Fund. It was stated that a number of companies with state participation would be transferred to the authorized capital of the fund.The main objectives of the new fund are:
- Ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial and economic activities of the fund and its portfolio companies;
- Increasing and ensuring sustainable growth of the value of the fund and its portfolio companies, as well as attracting investment by entering the international and local capital markets by the fund and its portfolio companies;
- Implementing the best corporate governance practices in the fund and its portfolio companies;
- Developing individual sectors of the economy through the implementation of government programs and investment projects.
According to the Ministry of Justice, National Investment Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic PJSC was registered on May 16, 2025.
