An Air India passenger plane crashed near the Ahmedabad airport in the Indian state of Gujarat, India Today reports.
The plane was bound for London. According to preliminary data, the plane failed to complete takeoff and crashed into a residential area of Ahmedabad.
The media outlet reports that there were 242 people on board.
