Underground brothel for foreigners shut down in Bishkek

The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) uncovered an underground pub in Bishkek that operated as a brothel under the guise of a karaoke club, providing sexual services to foreign nationals, the SCNS press service reported.

According to the state committee, 36 women engaged in prostitution and 19 foreign clients were detained at the establishment.

The organizer, a Kyrgyzstani identified as K.A.A., was taken into custody and placed in the SCNS pre-trial detention center. A criminal case has been opened against her under the article «Facilitating prostitution and debauchery.»

Measures will be taken against the detained women in accordance with the Code of Offenses.
