An earthquake measuring magnitude 3 hit Issyk-Kul region on October 2 at 6.43 a.m. The Institute of Seismology of the Kyrgyz National Academy of Sciences reported.
The epicenter of the tremors was located at a depth of 20 kilometers on Dzhetim-Bel ridge, 52 kilometers southeast of Kadzhi-Sai village and 115 kilometers southwest of Karakol city.
According to seismologists, the tremors were not felt in populated areas of Kyrgyzstan.
