AsiaUniversalBank and Ak-Bank JSC are in the process of liquidation. The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
According to the bank, the Deposit Protection Agency has been assigned the responsibility for liquidating these financial institutions.
Currently, there are 21 commercial banks and 304 branches operating in the country. Five of these banks operate, among other things, according to Islamic principles.
