Kyrgyzstani Gulnura Tashtanbekova won a bronze medal at the U23 World Wrestling Championships, currently taking place in Novi Sad, Serbia. The UWW website says.
In the 68-kilogram weight class, the Kyrgyz athlete defeated Gerda Barz (Germany) 4-2 in the bronze medal match.
Previously, she defeated her Mexican opponent, Debanhi Garcia, and Laura Gadino from Italy. However, in the semifinals, she lost to Nesrin Bas (Turkey) 6-8.
Another Kyrgyzstani, Nurzat Nurtaeva, won a gold medal.
