Monuments to prominent figures of Kyrgyzstan to be erected in Bishkek

At least 21 proposals to name educational institutions after prominent citizens of Kyrgyzstan and to install monuments and memorial plaques in honor of the country’s heroes and great figures have been considered in Bishkek. The Cabinet of Ministers’ press service reported.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov emphasized the importance of systematically preserving the memory of individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of the state.

Following the meeting, a decision was made to erect monuments to prominent figures, including Heroes of the Kyrgyz Republic Tologon Kasymbekov and Sooronbai Zhusuev, Heroes of the Soviet Union Cholponbai Tuleberdiev and Musa Jalil, surgeon Shamshidin Suerkulov, People’s Artist Boobek Ibraev, and other prominent figures.
