Kurvanbek Avazov appointed First Deputy Chairman of SCNS

Kurvanbek Avazov has been appointed First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS), the presidential press service reported.

According to publicly available information, Kurvanbek Avazov ran for a seat in Zhogorku Kenesh in 2020 from Reforma party. Since 2024, he has served as Director of the Anti-Terrorism Center of the SCNS.

In addition, Daniel Rysaliev has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the SCNS — Director of the Cybersecurity Coordination Center. He previously headed the SCNS Department for the city of Osh and Osh region.
