Kyrgyzstan is ready to export electricity to Uzbekistan. Director of Electric Stations JSC Uzak Kydyrbaev announced today at a press conference.
The agreement was reached in early October as part of Almazbek Atambayev’s official visit to Uzbekistan. The agreement states that Kyrgyzstan will export up to 550 million kilowatt-hours for 2.4 cents (per kilowatt-hour).
According to him, supplies are scheduled for December-March, if Kyrgyzstan has a technical capability.
